# Stake SPIRIT

### Note: staking is deprecated. To earn an interest on your SPIRIT tokens, [lock them](https://layer3.gitbook.io/spirit-swap/howto/inspirit/generate-inspirit) to generate [inSPIRIT](https://layer3.gitbook.io/spirit-swap/inspirit).

## Requirements:

* Have MetaMask set to the Fantom Opera Network
* Have $SPIRIT tokens in your wallet
* Have $FTM in your wallet for gas fees

## 1. Go to SpiritSwap.Finance.

## 2. Click on "Enter App".

## 3. Connect wallet.

## 4. Click on the "Staking" tab.

## 5. Approve $SPIRIT tokens.

## 6. Confirm the transaction in MetaMask.

## 7. Select "Deposit".

## 8. Select "Max".

## 9. Select "Confirm".

## 10. Confirm the transaction in MetaMask.
